Life Just Got Fuller

Life Just Got Fuller

That title sounds like added a child to our family doesn’t it?  Just kidding.  We didn’t. (whew!).

Life has been a tiny bit (big bit) crazier than normal.

In April my sister, Stacy, and I signed up to be LuLaRoe consultants.  For those of you who don’t know LuLaRoe is super comfortable fashionable clothing.  We were super excited about becoming consultants so we submitted our paperwork and waited for our call to order our inventory and become official consultants.

And waited.

And waited.

Until the end of July when the call finally came!  And then we waited for our initial inventory shipment.

And waited.

And waited.

And then it arrived on a Friday at 6:00pm.  UPS quick threw it in the back of my car and I drove like a maniac across town to my mom’s house where we planned to launch our business in an hour.  AN HOUR.  Our customers helped us unpack, count, and hang our inventory.  There were clothes being thrown everywhere.  It was hectic.  It was crazy.  It was awesome!

Fast forward just over a month.  And the theme of our business seems to be: “It was hectic.  It was crazy.  It was awesome!”  We have met so many amazing women.  Laughed with them.  Dressed them.  Helped them feel as beautiful as we know they are.  We’ve booked parties (so many parties).  Sold clothes (so many clothes). And even made money (woohoo!)  We’ve been able to bless others and we’ve been blessed ourselves.

We have dreams.  And goals.  And I KNOW we will reach them.

If you would like to check out our inventory you can find us on Facebook.

If you would like more information about our business please feel free to reach out to us on our Facebook page.  We’d love to answer any questions you may have!

When Bugs Attack

When Bugs Attack

About two years ago we moved to the country and I unwittingly found myself surrounded by bugs.

Sometimes, the bugs come inside.  Which is fun, because I am irrationally afraid they are going to jump on me and eat my face (or something like that).

It looks innocent enough…

Which leads us to me, trying to save a stick bug from my cats.  It’s hard to save something that you are terrified of.  Especially since every time you steel your nerves and reach for it a cat bats it at you and as it flies towards you and you freak out and scream and run away before you meet your demise at the hands of a stick with legs.  I finally found my zen and reach down and picked the stick bug up.  At that same moment, my dog, who I had been ignoring and didn’t even realize was in the room showed up and took advantage of me leaning down and licked me on my face.

So let me break it down for you… the second I reached down to pick up something that I’m afraid is going to eat my face, something attacked my face.  I screamed and threw the bug.  The cats went crazy over the now flying bug.  The dog went crazy as I fell backwards onto my butt and started to try and lick my face off.  Spit flew out of my mouth and began dribbling down my face.  My kids stood by looking like this:

I don’t even try anymore.  I now place any little intruders into their own secure containment system where they wait until one of the children sets them free.

Moving to the Country…

Moving to the Country…

We live in a small town in Southern Indiana.

For the first 9 years of our marriage we lived In Town where we had neighbors on every side of us.  We dreamed about how some day we would be able to move to The Country.  The Country was going to be glorious.  It was going to be everything that In Town was not.  We envisioned this quiet, pretty, clothes-optional, personal oasis of happiness.

About two years ago we made the big move about 5 miles north of town to The County.

Basically, that means that I moved away from really annoying human neighbors and surrounded myself with really annoying animal neighbors.

I used to listen to loud music blasting from next door and now I listen to 800 dogs barking.

I used to smell the aroma of my neighbors marijuana and now I smell the aroma of cow shit.

I used to run inside away from the fogger truck that came around and killed bugs and now I run inside away from the 400 gazillion bugs.

So in summary, I need to build a bug-free, dog-free, scent-free bubble around my house.  As a major bonus we could then air condition the “outside”.  Until then, I’ll be inside my house hiding from The County if you need me.  The view IS pretty.
